What you'll cover
Provides the knowledge and practical skills required to identify fire hazards and understand how fires develop in wind turbine environments.
Teaches safe response actions, emergency procedures and correct use of basic firefighting equipment during onshore and offshore incidents.
Covers evacuation principles, communication during fire events and industry‑standard fire awareness practices for turbine access and maintenance.

How it's delivered
Classroom/Practical-based course delivered over 1/2 day with practical and theoretical assessments.

Delegates complete both practical and theoretical assessments. Successful candidates receive a GWO Fire Awareness Certificate, recognised throughout the global wind energy industry. Valid for 2 years, with refresher training required before expiry.
