High risk confined space training including breathing apparatus, gas monitoring, rescue drills and casualty recovery techniques.

The industry-standard entry qualification for individuals working in the wind energy sector, providing the essential safety knowledge and practical skills for onshore and offshore wind turbine environments.

Harness Awareness & User

Provides essential knowledge and practical understanding of harness use for working at height. Learners gain confidence in selecting, inspecting and correctly fitting a safety harness, along with safe connection methods and best‑practice procedures for preventing falls during work tasks.

GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher (BST-R)

Refresh and revalidate the essential safety knowledge and practical skills required to work safely in the wind energy industry. This GWO-approved refresher course enables delegates to maintain compliance and continue working in onshore and offshore wind turbine environments.

Train the Painter Bronze

Progress to Protective Coating Applicator status with training in surface preparation, coating types and systems, application techniques and quality control.

4 Days course (theory and practical)

Train the Painter Silver

Specialist Train the Painter certification in either Spray Painter or Abrasive Blast Cleaner disciplines.

Harness Inspection

Provides the knowledge and practical skills required to safely inspect, fit, adjust and use safety harness equipment when working at height.

An advanced first aid qualification for wind industry personnel — delivering enhanced first aid, managing medical emergencies and caring for casualties in remote or challenging environments.

A 3-day refresher that renews and maintains the knowledge and practical rescue skills required for individuals working in the wind energy industry.

This industry-recognised IPAF Operator course provides delegates with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely operate powered access equipment.

Develops rescue skills beyond GWO Working at Height, focusing on rescuing injured personnel from turbines using industry-standard rescue equipment and techniques.

GWO Enhanced First Aid Refresher (EFA-R)

A 3-day refresher reviewing and building on first aid knowledge and skills so participants can administer safe and effective enhanced first aid in the wind industry.

GWO Lift SErvice User

Training for safe use of service lifts in wind turbines, covering pre-use checks, safe operation and emergency procedures. GWO-accredited, delivered by TradeTechs Northern.

GWO VR Slinger / Signaller

Provides the knowledge and practical skills required to safely attach, move and direct loads during lifting activities while communicating effectively with crane operators.

2-day course (theory and practical)

GWO Working at Height (WAH Module)

Teaches wind and renewable energy personnel how to safely use PPE, climb wind turbines, prevent falls and perform basic rescue operations in remote environments.

GWO First Aid (BST)

Provides the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to recognise life‑threatening conditions, deliver immediate first aid, and respond effectively to emergencies in onshore and offshore wind turbine environments.

GWO Manual Handling (BST)

Provides the knowledge and practical skills required to safely lift, carry and move loads while reducing the risk of injury and applying correct manual handling techniques in wind turbine environments.

GWO Fire Awareness (BST)

Provides the knowledge and practical skills required to identify fire hazards, understand how fires develop, and respond safely using correct emergency procedures and basic firefighting equipment in wind turbine environments.
